Backdrop Games ("we", "us") built Wake as a free mobile game. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What We Collect

Wake collects anonymous gameplay analytics to help us understand how the game is played and improve the experience. This includes:

• A randomly generated device identifier (anonymous UUID — not tied to your identity)
• Session start and end times (to measure play duration)
• In-game events such as koi rescued, koi variant selected, and enemies defeated
• Basic device information (device model, OS version)

What We Do Not Collect

• Your name, email address, or any personal contact information
• Location data
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• Data from other apps on your device
• Photos, contacts, or any on-device content

Analytics Provider

We use PostHog to process anonymous analytics events. PostHog receives only the anonymous data described above. No personal data is shared with PostHog or any other third party.

No Accounts or Login

Wake does not require or offer user accounts. There is no login, registration, or profile creation.

No Advertising

Wake does not display ads and does not share data with advertising networks.

Children's Privacy

Wake does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we only collect anonymous gameplay data with no personal identifiers, the game is suitable for all ages.

Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 12 months, after which it is automatically deleted.

Your Choices

Since all data is anonymous and not linked to your identity, there is no personal data to request, modify, or delete. You can delete the game at any time to stop all data collection.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of Wake after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
